Healthy Aging Association is collaborating with the Stanislaus Area Agency on Aging (AAA) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide a program called Aging in Place - Dignity At Home Aging in Place Fall Prevention.

The Aging in Place - Dignity At Home Program provides in-home environmental assessments, fall prevention education, and injury prevention accessories to qualifying individuals 62 and older or persons with disabilities who are at risk of falling in Stanislaus County.

Dignity At Home Aging in Place Program Guidelines: 
*PRIORITY GIVEN TO THOSE AT A GREATER RISK OF FALLING
  1. Be at least 62 years of age 
  2. At a risk of falling or have had a fall
  3. Meet income requirement
What the program involves:
  • Phone interview to qualify.
  • In-home environmental assessment.
  • Education and information on fall prevention.
  • If recommended, installation of injury prevention accessories.
Potential Injury Prevention Accessories:
  • Bath bench or shower chair
  • Hand-held shower head 
  • Non-slip bath mat
  • Bedside pole
  • Commode rails
  • Grab bars
  • Stair railings

Health Safety Precautions
For the safety of staff and clients, we will continue to operate while following a stringent safety protocol.
  • We will be geared up with masks, shoe booties, and gloves.
  • Social distancing will be followed with a minimum of 6-feet distancing.
  • Anything touched by staff will be sanitized prior to leaving the space.
